The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

Watch Me Come Undone

I feel the wolf's eyes roaming my form, taking in my colors, my gaze. I watch his lips curve upward into a smirk but it's a dry smirk, not one of shared humor. Not a jokester, huh? Oh well, I'll find some way to make him laugh, even if I have to physically dig it out of his chest. He answers back my charm with knives, telling me that he doesn't intend to be bought. I grin and cock my head to the side. Well, no one says I was looking to buy. My eyes gleam as I watch him tense, sensing his temper. Ah, a hot headed one. This should be fun. He lowers his voice some for the next comment, telling me that the feeling is mutual. I sniff in humor. Ouch, he's got barbs to go with that handsome face. Sorry to disappoint you, but it takes more than a few insults to shut me up. I lean closer, eyes narrowing daringly. Dare to try? Smirking, I slowly lick my lips, wondering when he's going to snap and try for a bite. Well, then this will just get more interesting.

I notice that he doesn't even dare to look me in the eye when I lean close. How mannerly of him. He waits and then closes his eyes before opening them again. I can see the muscles in his lips twitching before he speaks, calling me attractive before letting his words trail off on what I taste like. Suddenly his eyes dilate and he finishes it. I can't help but laugh, tail flicking humorously. He's got jokes. How tasteful. Surely you've come to Abendrot for more than just entertainment. My words bite on the last bit, eyes narrowing a bit, turning the tone to something a little more serious, a little more deadly. He doesn't really think I live here because of my charm, does he?

I watch his expression, seeing something like laughter in his eyes but surely I must be mistaken. He's been so against laughter from the start. Does he hide his humor? Well, we can't have that, now can we? I narrow my eyes in curiosity as the male suddenly looks away after intensely staring at me. What the hell is that about? I can tell he's still looking at me so to speak, just more out of the corner of his eyes. When he speaks, more insults come out, this time about my eyes. I poke out my bottom lip in a fake pout, eyes softening as if to cry. Oh, well now you're going to hurt my feelings. I've always been told my eyes are unique and pretty. The expression of hurt dissolves into light laughter again.

He flicks his ears back and though I still see that fire in his eyes, I smirk when he blurts out something more the point, asking what I'd like him to do. My eyes dance with glee. Well, you can start by saying your name and why you think you deserve to live here. Normally I'd ask to see some skin too but something tells me you're not that easy. Too bad. Well, I'll let Kershov ask for that when you see him. My eyes twinkle and I even dare to give him a wink as I wait to see what he'll do or say next. I think I like this one. So spirited, so unpredictable.
