At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

A favorite color. He had indeed mentioned red as his favorite, but even with his insisting that she had to have a favorite color, Cade couldn't say that she was really all that impressed with any of them. White was too easily dirtied as she knew from personal experience. Crimson and red were everywhere these days, blue was only in the sky and the water, and green, well, the world was green with a few browns and greys thrown in. None of the colors really seemed special to her, at least not enough to be paid any more attention than the rest of them. Perhaps pink was her color. After all, that was the dye of the tongue she had just flicked against his cold wet nose. Then again, maybe purple since that was the color her chest was going to be in a few hours, hidden beneath her white pelt.

Learning was a trial and error kind of thing, but no one ever tells you just how much the error part can hurt at times. She was spitting out dirt before she even knew what had happened. Just that one minute she was backing into her previous position and the next she was sprawled on the ground, aching and trying to get her breath back. It took her a few minutes of short gasps and then a some longer intakes, but once the pain had faded enough for her to start to pick herself up, the next thing to ensue was laughter. It sounded a bit insane really, considering the stupidity of what she had done to end up in such a situation, but then again, Satanicans didn't let fear into their lives and Cade had a standard to live up to. She couldn't say that the standard was to be taken lightly and neither was Eric as he had just proven. Yet she felt up to taking on this standard. If she didn't, she doubted anyone in her family would have a problem with disowning her. There was no chance she would let that happen, so standing up again, she came nose to nose with Eric the vampire wolf, the brute who had just knocked her on her ass and then some. The laughter slowly disappated like the pain and she listened rather intenly to his words before letting a few more stray and wanton chuckles out.

"That hurt you know....but it was damn worth it to see the look on your face. Yes, mother will certainly like you. If not for your...charisma, then for your guts."

And with that, the Andere Seite princess turned on her heels, ignoring the flurry of pain that surged forth with the motion and marched away, certain that the intrigued male would be close behind her if he didn't decide upon passing her wake to assume her side as she led the way home.
