Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.

Did my auds catch that right? She never had a name? Something inside told me I should say something but my creamy lips remained sealed; no sweet and soothing words escaping to ease the pallid thing before me and I felt a kind of guilt inside. It wasn’t right - not saying anything to lessen her pain I mean, but what was I to say? Nothing I could muster would be enough to make things better… I heard her question and answered using her name - hoping that she wound understand that little bit of symbolism hidden inside, she had said that anyone who did care enough called her Shiver… “Well I have heard of a place, they call it spring grounds. It has a little bit of everything. I‘m sure that they will see past that and perhaps… I could take you there. Yes I could take you there and you can finally… have a family Shiver, a family of your own.” I didn’t smile even though I wanted to I just sat and waited for her reply. I avoided telling her my name, not wanting to get anymore attached. Names led to friends and friends didn’t last… at least none of mine did. Some little part of me told myself not to say it, that if I did then she would leave like all the others… and I didn’t want her to leave. I was tired of being alone. “Erulissë…” I whispered, that little hope for friendship vanishing along with the name.
