OK, now I'm getting it, AMJ...

Starting to like your poetry more and more, or at least I won't argue it's not succeeding in being poetry.

I still think you should go into your work a little further. Writing memorable poetry isn't a sequential task... currently, my impression is that this poem was written in one shot -- usually a great thing for wordsmiths like you and me! And I took strength from your message, thank you.

I just recognize a common soul, and wish I could teach you to do what I used to do, try to do... make words into scalpels and bludgeons... it is possible to hone Jazz to a fine edge; so many spoken-word, improvisational, and rap poets don't seem to realize this...
