Well had you attended a meeting or luncheon, you would have heard, ages ago, that the number of Retirees is pretty close or even exceeds the number of active employees. Forgive me for not knowing the exact amount. It was also stated, ages ago, that Retirees have a huge impact on who gets elected. But as you saw in the election results, the numbers weren't that great overall. I have no idea who voted for who, but I would bet that we had an impact on Rick Cochran getting elected. So the answer to your question is 'you're right', we should and can make a difference on who gets elected. Unfortunately, apathy rules the day.
I would still urge you to attend a meeting or luncheon. I promise no one will bite. Whatever happened to you before is in the past. Get over it and come join us.
