I am looking for some additional volunteers to help with the Canadian Youth and Legion Track and Field Championships being held in Charlottetown at the Canada Games track at UPEI Aug. 17-19. See many future Olympians up close and personal! There are many positions available including:
call room (checks in athletes)
marshals (lead athletes to start line)
basket crew (carries athletes' belongings from start line to finish)
blocks crew (take blocks to different start lines)
hurdles crew (helps adjust and move hurdles)
throws (retrieves javelin, disci, etc from the field - great for runners!)
vertical jumps (replaces high jump and pole vault bars)
horizontal (rakes pit between jumps)
wind gauge (operates wind gauge for jumps)
results (posts results on board)
Performance display boards (adjusts and displays performance result for jumps and throws)
