Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.

Some think it romantic, a place to bring their mates, while others come to play and romp. However, all must agree that there is some level of mystery and spookiness hovering about with the mists...

Kayleah smiles and Nightmare says, "I gotta go. Remember sis, I'll always be at your side. Dead or alive." Kayleah nods and folds her ears down, upset. Before Nightmare trots away, he looks back with his face that only she would know. *He's Dying. Why now? Why'd he even have to come see the pups? Try to be cheerful, he said he's always going to be at your side.* Kayleah then rests her head on the ground, paws over her eyes. She starts to cry but doesn't make any noise. Nightmare makes it up the mountain and into his den before he painlessly dies.
