Scarletta tucked a leg behind her, making it look like she lost it, and folded both of her ears and a front paw back. "I made it." She gasped, laying down. In the crook of her paw was a mouse, and she squeezed it, blood dripping out. But it smelled like her blood. "He ate my ears, my leg, and my paw, but I survived." She whimpered. Heartbeat licked the 'stub' of her paw and turned to the two pups. "You're safe now." She murmured, licking their heads.
