The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

Juliet’s small frame remained pinned against the fur her eyes could not see. She was dramatically smaller than both of her siblings cementing her place on the smaller teat but perhaps one day her brains would catapult her ahead of them? Perhaps, for now at least she simply shrugged away from the other two in attempts to get a peaceful meal; although secretly she had smiled with pleasure when her brother had shoved her sister out of the way. Sibling rivalry was beginning to rear its ugly head and Juliet had an immediate distaste for the little surmising female that she would soon come to know as Serpentine; knocking others out of the way simply wasn’t her style she would much rather like to use others as pawns. Manipulation never got your pretty paws dirty. Oh no just the opposite in fact, utensils were the target of revenge not the silent order behind them. Juliet would grow to like that; the little mind games and maneuvering through ones psyche; If you have your fingers tight around someone’s brain its easy to crush it; all it takes is a little pressure and you have them falling to their knees in front of you bowing pathetically like a good pet. Maybe her sister could learn a thing or two from that? No matter it seemed that if she did have a relationship with anyone it would be her brother if no one at all. It seemed her mother didn’t even want to be around them like she was repulsed by what she had given birth to, like they were monsters. Little Juliet wanted to be close to her mother but alas it seemed she was only to be given enough to keep her and her siblings warm… to bad. The little pale girl nestled closer to her brother who had been pushed away and sniffed him once before returning to suckling. The message was simple, friends?
