The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

A quiet atmosphere quickly swept the young fae into a swirling galaxy of sleep, a deep slumber in which nothing awakened her, not even the call of her captor's alpha. She was new to the land, and in the mess of her midlife crisis, she had all but forgotten where she was. The only thing that woke her up was the high voice inside her head telling her she would get a butt whooping if she didn't get up and find Enigma.

Weak legs seemed to not be able to hold her body weight as she stood upon them for the first time in possibly days. She recalled herself as being in the Abendrot territory, but she had little idea where. Enigma's scent was faint on the ground, and it seemed to lead to multiple places. Ivory paws landed lightly, but wearily, on the well-trodden ground as Ellesmera made her way deeper into the packlands.

Enigma's scent only seemed to grow stronger as the cream femora followed the trail. A few leagues ahead of her destination, many new smells began to intervene and intertwine in Elle's nose. Thinking a pack meeting was in order, she decided to press on and further her discovery. But why was she following her captor, anyway?

She could be gone by now, out into the world. Free from... this. But did she want to be? Life wasn't what it was cracked up to be at the time for Elle; she only seemed to get more depressed as the days went on. Her brother and sisters had seemingly disappeared, leaving her alone and mournful. She was able to handle herself, but for what purpose? At least now there was a bit of adventure in her life... Something to think about that wasn't family. She could get used to this.

She entered the clearing, surrounded by a multitude of other wolves. She could only barely see Enigma in the hustle and bustle of wolves all around. Pushing past them, she arrives at the tail of her captor. Whether or not the Beta noticed her arrival, Elle sat down and waited for the mistress to acknowledge her presence.

OOC: holy mother crapping that sucked... im going to crap bricks if this is more than 400 words like my goal. I haven't looked yet. Yay me. IM BACK AND WORSE THAN EVER :D
