The brute wasn't expecting so much change from his runty, depressed son. He looked over Hayabusa with a experienced eye, taking in all the scars and the muscle that seemed to have accumulated in his absence from the den at Ice Pack. It was so strange, he had expected Oki and Samikle to become like this, but Hayabusa... He guessed he was being biased to his smallest son. He was proud to say the least, the red eyes finally ending on Hay's matching ones. Time changed so much, with Siege too. He was no longer the stand-offish brute he was when he had first arrived at Ice. The war, his mate, and his children all changed him from what he was when he had first met Alavera. All for the better. He cringed at the thought on what he might have become should he have done as his father wanted. It was a miserable thought, the scarring that it would have caused his beautiful and loving mate. He never would have seen any of his children grow up either.

Siege nodded to his son’s reply, the tones reminded him a bit of his own, though less rugged. Siege didn’t take himself away from his son when he had tensed, simply waited for him to relax before slowly pulling away. His gaze moved to Emiko as Hay’s did a smile on maw. “Seems you turned out to be a bit like myself. Handful aren’t they?” He said stated small smile on his visage. He wasn’t sure if the dragon could speak yet but he asked, “So, what’s your name?” Thinking if he couldn’t speak yet his son surely would give him the young Red Back dragons calling.

The other question somewhat surprised Siege, where else would she have gone? “Of course she is. We still live in the same den you were raised in. Together.” He noted a bit proudly with a wave of a tail. Many couples he knew fell apart after time, him and Alli were still going strong, and rarely there was an argument that erupted from the den that wasn’t the pups bickering. “You should go see her too!” Siege said, “I’m sure she would love to see how you have grown.” ‘And have you grown…’ He noted mentally, again a hint of pride taking over him. He had amazing children, he wasn’t sure what had made Hayabusa choose the way of the warrior, but it was a moment for Siege to be proud of. All of his sons, and his daughters had turned out very well.
