Vex stood up on the highest mountain she could find, standing on the highest rock in it. A small wind passed by, cooling her internally and gently swishing her fur. She closed her eyes, and sighed, inhaling the fresh air. She thought, of nothing. The moon was raised high above her, and was surrounded by twinkling stars. The chilly yet warming night was peaceful, and in every away perfect.

She then leaned her head back. Her mouth opened, and released a long, empty howl that went from normal pitch to low. It was long, and had a her soul in it. She stopped slowly, and rest her head down on her paws as she laid down, enjoying the cool rock. She could hear her howl echo off the sides of the surrounding mountains. Her life had been a bit scrambled lately, so nights like this that rarely came were treasured so greatly.
