If Samus was to be completely honest with herself, then she’d admit that the fact that Calypso was going to receive a special mission was quite respectable. But the bounty hunter was never one for such needless flattery, and Queens’ first string of lyrics in her direction completely erased her mind of such uncharacteristic thoughts. Sexy appeal, eh? Sammy had never been one to lust over that sort of satisfaction, but she was in no way against it either. And there was no way to deny that her hips did swing with a certain crimson spice. She grinned knowingly. Then the regal continued with her replies and Samus Aran was intrigued to find that Queens had been socializing with the fabled Ice King. Undercover? She certainly was a sly one, wasn’t she? And then she finished with the mention of a mission for the rouge fatale herself, one that she was sure to enjoy. Her grin expanded and she simply nodded, offering a single lyric in reply. “Indeed.”

An amused growl escaped her kissers as Da Kurlzz entered the clearing. He was one of the wolves who wasn’t afraid to taunt the devil herself, and there was no denying he was an interesting creature. He said nothing to their leader but offered a nod and returned to the shadows, but not before drawing his banner across her lower jaw. Soft pink flesh raised to show a locked row of pearly daggers, tempted to latch onto the tip of that creamy flag but her canines remained firmly in place, waiting for a better time. His wayward comment slid into her auds and she clucked at his retreating form, tongue dancing within her muzzle. “Hey baby, I’ll have you screaming it all night long.” She sneered briefly before returning to the action.

The lean lady returned to Queens releasing another desperate cry, calling all those who had yet to come, and demanding their presence this instant. Fools, every one of them for not coming sooner. But from the corner of her emerald gaze she saw a dark form slip into the hind of the meadow, a male by the name of Vingi whom she really didn’t know much about. One of those quiet, sulky boys. Not one suited to her tastes. But at least he would elude Queens’ wrath for today.

Glancing at the charcoal male by Queens’ side, Samus remembered the chuckle from his direction when she made her comment to their regal. Amusing, huh? She had glanced briefly in his direction, mossy portals raising in amused question. But that was the only contact she had ever had with this brute, and she left it that for the time being. Not that she didn’t have such other thoughts, but she would keep that secret. No need to spoil such a thing. Then she directed her attention to the other dark being in the area, the female Calypso who had also received the promise of an objective in the near future. Perhaps they would be working together? Either way, it seemed the midnight valkyrie had acknowledged her sideways signal and winked in reply, a good sign, considering. Not that Samus had a constant need for companionship. Only a little fun every once and a while.

That’s when two males trotted into view, one more of a boy than a man. Had she seen them at some point? Maybe some past meeting, but they certainly held no significance in her eyes. But obviously they were members of the pack, the perfume of death thick on their pelts. And by the looks of it, they seemed more important than she once thought. She didn’t pay much attention to their actions, though, just that they were greeting Queens, and then going about their own business with the lesser members. Commotion near one of the other vixens made her turn. Both her and her young boyfriend were having some sort of battle of wits, it seemed. Ah, young love. She snickered. Let them duke it out, the male searching for his feral needs and the female her emotional satisfaction. Honestly, it was just a whole bunch of bullshit. Love was for the weak, mates for those with a death wish.

Suddenly, a foreign scent assaulted her nostrils and she relished the fear she tasted in that musk. Her eyes closed at the pure pleasure of it. A howl was raised from the borders, an obvious sign that this newcomer had no brains in their fucked up cranium. Any remotely sane creature would have sensed their gathering and come in, especially in the land of Malignant, where formalities were thrown to the air and shredded by all those with a lust for blood. Then, just as if a switch had been thrown, a dominating aura replaced that of glorious terror. The scent can closer, and female by the feel of it. The bitch grow some balls? And then she was at the clearing, walking up to Queens like she was the most righteous woman in the forests. A disapproving sneer overtook her features. Sure, she had that sort of personality too, but something about this girl seemed off. Hadn’t she, just a moment ago, been practically pissing on the borders? Sure, Samus didn’t have anything against her crazy brethren, but when things reached the MPD stage, there was just no use for the stupid creatures to walk around anymore. You’re either gloriously evil, or you’re a carcass on the soil. That was that. Her snide comment to Queens made the ruby mistress shoot a glare of pure venom. Hey, a little respect was never a bad thing. In a way, she was hoping this lass, Cygnus, turned to see her welcoming gift. She could use a good brawl to relieve some of her stress.

Then another male crawled in, reeking of the foreign pack that Queens had been spying in. More than one? What was so great about this pitiful Abendrot anyway? Maybe she’d have to pay a visit, bring with her the… hospitality of Malignant. The idea was tempting, but Sammy would stick around to see what her mission was; perhaps it had to do with her very thoughts at the moment. Hm. Well then, she guessed all there was left to do was wait and see what fortune had in mind.
