Gamma of Bright Moon
The day had been rather warm but with the breeze that stayed around the pack, I didn't mind in the least. It tousled my fluffy coat playfully and I couldn't have been in a sour mood even if I'd wanted to be. I lay sprawled out in a tiny clearing in the forest, right near the boarder of forest to prairie. The sun peeked through, illuminating the gloss on my pelt and making it shine. My lids were slid closed as my stomach pleasantly began to digest the two field mice I had caught and snacked on not too long ago. I wasn't full but I wasn't hungry either, which was a good feeling.
I was standing now, eyes open and alert. I was contemplating what I could do to pass the time until... until something. My choices had been narrowed down to either wandering the forest that I knew so well or looking for some water to drink. I was bored with being so still, just listening to my own heartbeat, my own breathing, and the birds in the trees. I needed motion, I needed to move. Unconsciously, I began to pace around the outer edge of the clearing while I thought.
In the end, I didn't even have to decide for myself. Tamlin's howl strummed in my radars. My limbs stopped moving and my head turned in the direction his vocal had come from. A small smile played on my lips as I turned myself towards him. It sounded like his call came from somewhere near the north boarder instead of the usual clearing. That happened to be near my current location and also in the forest. I knew exactly where I was headed and I knew just the right path through the underbrush to get there fast.
My paws stepped where they needed to without me telling them to. Despite how poofy my coat was, I had little problem with it getting very caught. It was easy, practiced, to pick my way in a mostly direct path towards my king. Above all else though, I enjoyed it. I was getting rather close when I crossed the scent trail of Warrior. Happy to have some company and see a familiar face, I veered and followed his path. It didn't take too terribly long for me to reach him, just out of view of Tamlin. What are you waiting for ? He'll love to meet you. And he'll be happy to have you here so soon. My voice was chipper and laced with reassuring notes. I shouldered him playfully and gave him on last look before making my own entrance.
I pressed through the vegetation and fully into the clearing. My sandy cloak was strewn about with twigs and leaves and the like. I paused for a second and took out the bigger things then shook myself fiercely to dislodge the rest. With a big grin on my face and my mismatched pools gleaming, I stepped up to the alabaster varg, my banner swaying ever so slightly. Tamlin. There was more than one emotion in that single vocal but all of them were rather positive. I closed the small gap between us with my inky snout, pressing it to his snowy shoulder. I only left my nose there for a couple seconds. After pulling back, I moved past him and turned around. My head came even with his shoulders before I held myself stationary, taking my place at his flank.
My head swung around the area to where I had come, checking if Warrior had made himself known yet or not. My gazers only paused for a moment before moving to the milky frame of Misty. I was pleased to see that she had come. I didn't miss the obvious shame on her canvas but decided to ignore it. It wasn't my place to say anything, that was between her and Tamlin. Instead, I gave her a flash of my daggers. Essentially, it said 'I'm glad to see you. Here or at all.' It was meant for only her but I had no doubt that if our regla had been watching, he would have seen it plain as day. The only other wolf here before me was Seoras. He was another very welcome face. I let a sweet smile be sent his way. He looked as spunky as ever and I was glad he still retained that even though he had grown. That reminded me, we still had to go get some bunnies for him like I'd promised. I would have to take him soon, he'd been kept waiting long enough. After all, rabbits were quite tasty.
