It was rare for the brute to complain to himself about feeling alone, but there was no escaping the fact that he was, especially after recent events. Two of his mythicals had passed away, leaving him more or less on his own, although their spirits lingered. He wouldn’t be so upset about this if one of those mythicals hadn't been his Aqua dragon, Flood, whom he cared for deeply. His daughter Drea was also upset and he knew this all too well, which if anything made the loss of the dragoness worse. The ebony pelted wolf sat by the water’s edge, a thoughtful look clouding his piercing crimson eyes. It had been a while since he had seen Drea, and he found himself wondering if the sightless wolfess was alright, he knew she could take care of herself but… he was her father, and worrying about her was part of his job.

Then there was his mate, he hadn't seen Laetitia in so long… perhaps it was time to move on, find someone else. It didn’t look like she was coming back. But try as he might, he couldn’t let go of the cream coloured wolfess. She’d come back for him, he knew she would. She had to; nobody else would be able to fill the hole that she left. His siblings might as well have left the mountain- his brother despised him, and his sister… he hadn't heard anything from his sister since before his death a couple of years ago. Then there was Sin, the fem that he had met at this very river, as far as she was aware she was gone, too... yes, he was alone… perhaps that was for the best.

He was getting older, six years old now, and he was all too aware of the fact he wasn’t getting any younger. But he didn’t appear as old as he was, thanks to the use of his Mitternacht blessing, it kept him looking youthful, at least, heightened his senses too.

The river was quiet today, and for that he was thankful. The brute let out a soft sigh, standing and turning away from the riverbank, walking towards the treeline. The tall wolf shook his head, wondering why he was getting so worked up about this. It didn’t matter if he was alone, he’d be fine as a loner, he had always managed before, and he would manage now, he was sure of it.
