Talon took a deep breath as he waited. He couldn't help but wander, the silence bringing other thoughts to his mind. When was he going to get home? When would he make time to go back to his pack? It was unusually warm outside. What would Wyro think of his long absence? He would understand, surely that a man had his own business to take care of, right? Well he supposed it really depended on who was there. Which Wyro he was talking to. Would he bring Vex to the pack with him or leave her to her own pack? He decided that would be up to her.

Finally Vex's voice pulled him back to the present. Talon listened to her words, replaying them in his head as she said them. He knew where this was heading. His actions cost him her trust, and she didn't want to see him again. He knew it. He was a fool for thinking she would.

Talon was already beginning to stand when she continues speaking. What was she saying? He sat back down and smiled. Too rough on him? Hardly. Now she was giving him forgiveness he had not earned, and probably never would. He lowered his head and nuzzled his nose into the nape of her neck. "Vex, I don't deserve this kindness. I will prove myself to you however I can, no matter how long it may take." He sighed contently and leaned back to look at her. He stood, placing his front paws on either side of her body and bowing his head low so that his face was beside hers. "Yes. I want to start over, Vex. We can make a new life for ourselves" He closed his eyes and leaned his cheek into her neck behind her ear. "I love you, Vex."
