Vex smiled deviously as he cheated into the river. "Hey!" she said laughing.

As she crouched, Vex looked at Talon, and flicked her tail, telling him to go. But he was way ahead of her. Next thing she knew, Vex was racing after him. She ducked under branches, leaped over logs, keeping up at his pace. Then she leaped onto the buck's dead body, tearing it to pieces. She flapped her wings, and then tucked them into her side. She looked above her at the moon. Oh no, it was being covered by a cloud!

This just wouldn't do. Vex secretly used her cloud blessing, closing her eyes and thinking about the clouds moving away from the moon. When she opened them, the clouds were far away from the giant circle. Vex smiled. She leaned her head into the deer, and was about to take a bite, when suddenly a howl erupted from a nearby hill. Her head shot up, and Vex growled.

Wolves who looked anything but tame approached the two lovers slowly. Vex snarled, showing her fangs. There were about 20 of them. And they all wore collars, human collars. Except they were unlike any collars Vex had ever seen. There were teeth shoved into them, and hung like beads almost. It was almost as if this was a wild tribe or gang of some sort. Who ever they were they would die.

Suddenly the biggest one, who was tawny colored, stepped forward. "Look at these people, trespassing on our territory," he said. His voice was deep and low. "Killing you will certainly feed our gang." Vex simply said, "None of you will be alive when I'm through with you." She opened her mouth, and let loose a flaming blast, scorching the brute's fur. He shrieked, not expecting it. That told Vex that these wolves weren't from around Wolf Mountain, and knew nothing of blessing. "Yeah, that's called a /blessing/" she stretched the blessing, and acted as if she was teaching them. "They give us power. They give us the right to kill you." The brute didn't look effected by her taunting. He flicked his tail wincing in pain, after he rolled in the ground to get the flames off of course. He growled, and then all the warriors around him rushed onto Vex and Talon. She fought bravely, clawing at them and biting where she could. She used her growth blessing, and then grew 2 feet taller, towing over them all.

She swiped at them, batting them out of the way. She charged at the leader then, and leaped at him, tackling him. She looked at Talon. "Help me! Kill him!"
