The trio padded along in happy silence, listening to the buzz of bugs as they went about there day, the quiet rushing of the river and the gentle whisper of a breeze through the trees. It was days like this that the tiger treasured most, perfect days spent with his little family. Of course, they weren't really his blood family, but they were as close as it could get. Covenant had been left by all the family he had ever had, first his son Izekiel then his last litter of three cubs and his mate. He didn't seek to have more, his two pudding dragon companions were enough family for him. Ouro had been with him since the dragon was born, and the two were inseperable.

" 'Ey, Scales." Covu called out to the adult dragon, using the pet name he had given him when he first found him. Ouroborous' head looked up, his warm chocolate brown eyes shining.

"Yes?" he replied.

"This'n the place where we norm'ly rest up, so 'm gon' take a nap 'nd ya'll two c'n play n'the water." Came Covenant's thick, Southern voice. The place he had stopped at was a very calm, shallow portion of the river perfect for the two dragons to splash around and fish in, or do whatever they wanted really. A willow tree hung over the water giving perfect shade for the blue tiger. They came here often on lazy summer days such as this one. With a yawn, Covu settled beneath the tree, tail flicking lazily as he watched Ouroborous and his daughter Kaylee splash about in the water.
