At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

The Ravenson twins approached the falls slowly, due to Hugin's limp. His sister strode beside him, holding him up as they came to the waters edge.

"Hugin, Valhalla awaits you, we must not seek it out. Though, you'll never learn differently, with me to heal your wounds. Into the water with you, I can't work with dried blood and dirt."

Hugin stepped into water, unaffected by his sisters directions. She was after all the true Norse woman, strong, yet gentle, but able to fight if necessary.

"Go on brother," her voice rang behind him, "Is the water too cold for even a hardened warrior?" She laughed, shaking some of black fur out of her eyes.
