Syndr was satisfied that they had chosen a name for the little dragon that they both liked. He smiled back at his mate. "I like it too." Suddenly his thoughts flicked back to when him and Calla had first met, and how unsure and naive he had been. Oh, how much had changed. "Smokey," Syndr called. The mythical looked up. "Come here." Syndr bent down and gestured to his back. Smokey raced across the hard stone floor, its little claws clicking, its feet racing along, until it came to Syndr's back, climbed on it, and promptly fell asleep. "Heh. He's funny," Syndr said, realising it was male. He grinned cheerfully at Calla.
