Lackadaisy was a little surprised at Commando's stuttering, enough that her eyes even widened a little, if only for a moment. He looked quite intimidating. When Shuantra� explained her father's usual attitude, Lackadaisy nodded, understanding a little more. He could be trying to be nice, the same way she was trying to be a little more mature. Of course, she hadn't found any reason to be mature yet. When Commando explained about Shuantra�'s mother, the friendly smile slid off Lackadaisy's face, being replaced by an expression of pity.

She'd found that one of the best ways to stay away from sadness is to change the subject, so when Shuantra� spoke again, Lackadaisy replied with enthusiasm, smile reappearing. Oh, you do look fierce. The wolf made sure she wore an intimidated look, knowing that pups like to be big and scary, but her swishing tail betrayed a hint of amusement. I'd better watch my back. That was probably true. Lackadaisy got the feeling that either other wolf could inflict some serious harm if need be.
