PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

LEGENDS NEVER DIE

Leave it to the girls to be sticking their nose in when there’s already someone on the case. Anath sighs heavily as footsteps echo off the heavy shale of the Peak. Maybe, just maybe, whoever it was would catch wind of the leader and shove off. Without the wind to throw her a scent, the champagne had no idea who was just out of view. Hopefully it was just Impazienza or Robophobia… mares she knew and trusted. Mares she knew wouldn’t kick up a fight at the situation, trusting Anath’s way of dealing with it.

She had busied herself with pulling enough brambles and tangles for several years from Thane’s dark mane. It was something that kept her immediate mind occupied while drifting away elsewise. It was an easy, warm way that they fit together. He was just slightly smaller but sturdy enough to support the way they leaned. Yes, they were comfort to each other. Autumn was stealing in, a brisk chill hanging over their pelts. Anath didn’t want to let go. This time, she feared it might actually shatter her. It might actually break the dun mare to let go of someone that had come so close… too close. Why did it have to be this way.

And then there was the mare that had surged on. This one was thick and wild looking, one that Anath had seen in passing. ”This is what I get for not introducing myself to them when they come in.” The words are hissed under the champagne’s breath, ears pinning backwards. She’s reluctant to disentangle herself, but she doesn’t have time to complain to herself. Thane is already on the move and Anath has to act fast. He’s picked up running interference and the General will have none of that. As he comes close enough she reaches out with her teeth, eyes ablaze. No. I’m not yours to defend.” Her jaws snap, regardless if they’ve caught any of the grullo man’s flesh between them. As he takes off, she chases for one pace… two… and three. He’s gone, back into the cover of trees. While Anath won’t let it show, she aches.

It’s time now to turn upon the nameless creature, the one that caught them off guard. If you asked her about Het Vuur she could tell you what she knew—he’d been king of the Tinuvel island in one of her dead spaces in time while she was with Creature, ending in her early months with Rodion. His queen had been a mare called Sterre and it was a land of black pelted giants. Other than that, Anath knew little. Textbook answers, nothing more. If you’d told her this woman was related, she wouldn’t have cared. This creature was new here and she was no princess.

She turns on her hind legs, ears still flush to her skull. ”What the fuck was that all about? If any of the warriors, much less your superior officer, has something under control you let it be.” This creature was new here, but Anath’s singular moment of peace since… since when? Since the last time—had been interrupted. The General was displeased, to say the least. Her green eyes were wild as they fixed upon the creature. Here we go.
