During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

The females turned out to have a bit more bite than he thought, which was perfectly fine. They glanced and him and stood, one boldly padding up to the border and growling through some words. What would he like them to do? Hm… A sly grin spread across his palate. “Surprise me, yeah?” he said with a slight purr in his voice. Then she went on to introduce herself and Roni and her friend as Calla, two simple names that would be easy to learn, and it seems he had failed to notice how knocked up the other maiden was. A bold move coming to his pack with your belly ready to burst full of demons. Yes, he had dealt with more than his fair share of pups lately, and he almost considered turning them away on that account. But he’d have to see what the mother said on the matter. If she gave to some perfect little murders, how could he complain?

Roni spoke to him again, a question concealed as a statement, and an eyebrow raised in amusement. “Yes, that would be helpful, wouldn’t it? Although I hope you are already aware of my rank here, or this whole meeting would be a crying shame. I am Serris.” And that’s all he said, simple and sweet. Roni seemed stone cold, a good trait, but only if there was some loyalty burred underneath. It was then that his aqua spheres shifted to the other, Calla, who had come up parallel to her friend. She began speaking to her compadre, then ended the sentence with a slight remark in his direction about how the pups wouldn’t slow her down. Why, naturally. But then she headed away, slightly back from his territory, and Serris furrowed his brow in concern. No, why would they be walking away? But it seems he was just a fool, for the next string of lyrics escaped from Calla’s kissers mentioning a moose and a ‘Mr. Wolf’. An amused chuckle bubbled from his chest at the name. “It’s Serris, my sweet. And yes, a good kill sounds almost perfect right now. I’ll leave you to it, yes? And if you return triumphant, I believe a pack meeting and ranks are in order.” A dark eyebrow raised once more, the lazy smile on his kissers letting them know he expected success. Maybe things were actually looking up. I mean, he was going to get two new packmembers (plus a few) and a good bellyful of meat. Yes, it sure was good to be King.
