At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

Auralia lifted her head up and her muzzle touched Cea's. She felt tears from him running onto her. "Well, I suppose we come from equally horrible families. I come from a pack of volcanoe wolves, like I already told you. But I found out the truth about my family. Our pack was the meanest bunch you'd ever encounter. The alpha stole young females because... let's just say he had a lot of pups. One day, he took Auralia. My brother, Aldebaran, got on the good side of the alpha and became an assistant, pretty much. My father was viciously murdered, he was the nicest wolf in the pack. My mother didn't care for us. She never fed us or cleaned us. Calla and I finnaly escaped, one of the hardest things for a wolf. The borders were guared well and nobody was to leave once in. Aldebaran stayed behind, and he told me at the stones he fell into the volcano chasin Auralia when she escaped from the alpha. Alde told me the alpha has already begun the journey here to avenge Alde's death. So, if you come upon a pitch black wolf with half an eye gone and scars all over, don't even catch his eye because he will question you." Jingle was also crying now and she nuzzled into Cea.
