The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

One track mind & eyes for me;

“Sister?” Julie came out of the shadows from where she had been hiding watching with interest as the bigger, darker, and in many ways more forceful pup stood on the boarder of their home. “Planning to dare the outside world are you?” She smirked deep coal eyes gleaming with sarcasm. The white dove had a feeling that she was the only one who had stepped so far as a foot outside Abendrot’s fence. She bounded up closer fully expecting Serpentine to retort with some hurtful words; in reality Juliet didn’t hate her sister, in fact she admired her. Serpentine was bigger and stronger and well more intimidating that herself… traits that were admired in her home. Juliet was the smallest and probably the most amenable, in many ways she actually wished she was her sister; not that she would ever admit that of course.

“Where is Black Hole?” The lass was starting to get worried about her brother she hadn’t seen him around for a while. Even though Julie would like to think her and her brother were friends she couldn’t be so certain… you couldn’t really have true friends, or at least she couldn’t. You see she couldn’t give any part of herself to someone like that. You could call her shallow, petty, or callous but she probably wouldn’t even bat a lash. Friends weren’t important in life neither was family for that mater… perhaps that was why her mother didn’t like her children. She simply didn’t need to.

She pressed her lips together in habit contemplating all those strange things she couldn’t understand though life was young and there was always time. Her mind drifted back to the little pup she had found alone and whimpering. Maybe could bring home a pet! maybe… Her lips found their usual smile and she returned her mind back to the bright-eyed pythoness. "So?"
