She could simply stay right here forever. "Everyone seems to be in a bad way lately," she muses lightly, her expression thoughtful for a moment before returning her attention to Nik. "Possibly this winter chill?" if only that were the truth. She could only guess her stallion still worried himself to death over the loss of Larka, the mare who of course had stolen his heart, and had become a good friend of Ali's. The golden lady knew she would never replace dear old Larka, but it didn't mean she couldn't be the one to stay by his side and help look after things.
But there are some who do wish to fully control Nikola now, and with the sudden intrusion of another familiar smell, she draws her face away to glare over at the form of Pierce. This was a mare neither Ali or Larka had favored. This mare was the demon sent straight from hell. Glancing sideways at Nikola, she expected him to run to the other mare, perhaps to beg for forgiveness, but it seems the red girl didn't have that much authority. Good, she snorts. Lifting her gaze, she met Pierce's own challenging stare. Ali may have the looks of an angel and may seem that of a peaceful women, but she cared for family, and when it came to putting those in there in their place, then so be it. Like Nik's her ears were flattened against her skull, and she raised herself up a little more. She took note of the other mares height, but you know, size doesn't matter. "Pierce," she says coldly, eyes never leaving the mare's. Shifting closer to Nik now, she hoped he could feel the slight tremor raking her body. She was simply scared for the life inside her at the moment, not for herself. Hearing Nik speak, she let's a small forced laugh escape her, "getting along? you must be joking. That mare despises every other female around here." It was simply true. "You will never replace Larka." her gaze is rather terrifying right now, and i bet if Jabber were to come by he'd be running away with his tail tucked between his legs. She knew this demon's desire, and she wasn't about to stand by to see Nikola's life be ruined by the beast. | |
