Many wolves looking for relaxation come to Blossom Field. A gentle breeze vibrating the blossoming flowers is quite a sight to see and it is quite a favourite for wolves to come with their mates.

A recent fire has ruined the scenery, half the field covered with soot and marked with scars of the flames. The other half is untouched, however.

Had he been expecting this to happen? Absolutely not. How could he have? There were some things that just didn’t happen on a daily basis. Getting drop tackled by a pup was one of them. And not just any pup. Kobato. That bitch.

He had just been enjoying his sunny day, nibbling on the germ that he had plucked from the ground in front of his cranium. Then a rustle came from somewhere in the living side of the meadow and Serris tensed, jaw clamping hard on the bundle of seeds. But the sound disappeared just as soon as it was made, and the brute was left to spit out the prickly things. Odd… but not really. Vargs of all ages came to this place to romp, socialize, and o t h e r things. A slight, devious chuckle emerged from the hessian. Un-tensing, Serris just began to close his aqua (with turquoise flecks ;]) portals when a small, wriggling thing popped just within the top of his line of sight. He tensed again, knowing that there was indeed another wolf close, and that their ass was waving back in forth, most certainly in his direction. Dammit, who could possibly want to mess with a wolf like him? Was he not scary enough to be avoided? But, of course, Serris quickly came to the conclusion that it was his incredible charm that attracted so much attention.

Either way, the male carefully watched that rump until, suddenly, a whole pup burst from that hind end. It was only in mid-air did Serris realize who his visitor was. Pure shock forced his eyes wide and his maw opened to release a cry of surprise. But his vocals were drowned out by that of Kobato’s, as she howled like a banshee coming down upon him. In those lingering seconds Serris saw the fatale quite clearly, more clearly than he possibly ever had. The lass had grown since he last saw her; still an awkward pup, but less… pupish. Also, a new array of scars crossed her pelt in patterns. A rip in the ear, a tattered tassel, and other prizes lay for him to see. And, inexplicably, he felt the need to punish all those that shred her. And, before he could realize the reality of his thoughts, she was upon him.

Her tiny paws came down upon his shoulder, quite the meaty landing pad for the young lady. In natural reaction he curled in towards her form, trying to keep her contained to the un-vital part of his body, although the he-beast was positively sure that she was not at all dangerous. Well, maybe to his mental health. But that was beside the point. She clung to his nape like he was some sort of ride in front of the grocery store. Growling, Serris considered rolling onto his back to crush the maiden, but right as he was about to do so she dodged and came off him, rolling onto her back in glee. Regaining the earth beneath his paws, Serris slowly turned and stared murderously at the little girl. Give him a goddamn heart attack why don’t ya! But he knew that little visage would not be phased so he simply settled for a twitching lip to show his discontent. It was only after these few tense seconds did Kobato’s words penetrate through to him. Serry… BERRY?! His eyebrow twitched madly, his pools little more than sane. Yes, yes it was certainly Kobato.

Feeling the creaking in his adult bones, Serris slowly rose, swiping his paw sideways at the same time to roll the little bitch over away from him as he shook himself, ash spores exploding about his form. But he dared not step closer towards the pup. Fenris knew what happened last time he had. “I’d like to say that I do not remember you, but sadly my memory is too keen at this age to forget such a pup as Kobato.” He would leave her to interpret that however she wished, if she could even understand his advanced talk at all. Then he lowered his muzzle a little, careful to be ready to pull it out of the line of fire. “I see your goodness finally found its reward, no?” He eyed her wounds, the sarcasm evident in his voice. Then he straightened his neck again and looked back to check his silver-laced plume, delicately curling it over his spine. It was becoming more of an automatic reaction now; moons of Alpha-ship had that sort of effect. But his flag still needed training in its proper placement. Satisfied that all was in order, he returned to the pup, who was surely bouncing around his paws by now, or something equally annoying. He would address her wherever she stood.

“So, you came back to make my life miserable, eh?”
