PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

i wonder what it's like to be a rain-maker

i wonder what it’s like to know that i made the rain
i’d store it in boxes with little yellow tags on every one

Zombie frowns and finds herself desperately wishing her ninja skills would come back so she could fade into the background. She hated to upset people and Impa looked so forlorn! She hesitated for a moment before deciding to step forward, closing the small gap between them, and touch her dark nose to Impa’s broad shoulder for a moment. She returned to her nose to her own personal space, unsure of what to do. Zombie had always been more of the child than the mother; her own children raising themselves or looking after their eccentric mother.

”I’m not 100% positive she’s moved on. She could’ve left with Kisei…?” she offers the lame statement to the blanketed mare. Zombie knew damn well what had happened. It was why Kisei had brought the filly to her in the first place and she had panicked. She had never been a good mother to her own children, how could she possibly take care of someone else’s child? She shakes her head at her own shame, hiding for a moment behind her dirty forelock.

”I think she was called Dynalia. She was so cute!” Zombie gushes, her guilt forgotten momentarily. ”I haven’t seen her since that day, but I think she might have stayed in the Forest.” She cocks her head to the side, racking her brain for clues as to what may have become of the young filly. She’d be older now, much older and Zombie wasn’t sure she could pick her out of a lineup.

”But after Kisei left, I didn’t stick around much longer. Some spotted beast took over and he was scary as hell.” Not much frightened Zombie; she was more curious than what she really ought to be but instinct had told her to get away from the spotted stallion as soon as possible and for once she’d listened to herself. Shifting her weight, Zombie’s earlier guilt returned. ”I’m sorry for bringing you nothing but bad news. Please don’t hate me.” She mumbles the last, not sure she could take anyone being upset with her for any reason at all.
