During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

a small touch of happiness [ serris cont. ]
IP: 70.56.226.223

It would be wise to say that Serris was not exactly glad to see the little one, as she now lay gasping beside him, her miniscule ribcage filling with oxygen and then depleting as her lungs heaved up and down for the life within them. His stare was the worst thing she'd seen all day (for she had not yet seen her own reflection). But she wiggled her body (as her tail could not necessarily be seen wagging in the dirt) and smiled cheerfully up at him, the facial expression not phasing her at all in any way. But his lip started twitching so Kobato did the obvious thing. She got up slowly and, for the first time, frowned. Don't make such a sad face, Serryberry! Kobato is sorry for not coming back quicker! Of course, this was most likely not what the big guy was thinking, but being Kobato... it was exactly as she thought.

"Of course you remember Kobato! How could you forget! Kobato has not made you happy yet... and therefore, she cannot give up!" Despite her oddities, the little girl's glimmer of determination was more than what any one could have ever bargained for. With that torn up appearance, she looked about half ready to drop over and wheeze out air. And on the inside, she was. Who knows what others are thinking when they plaster on that fake smile? No one does... and no one ever will- that is, unless they are finally let into the person's head. But alas, that hardly ever occurs. And so- Kobato keeps on smiling. Because it numbs the pain just a little bit. The big black guy lowered his maw before her and Kobato, having gotten up while talking, wagged her lengthy tassel and searched his electric blue optics with her own toffee ones, her audettes twitching to listen as his words dripped from his maw. Reward...? Now that she was older, Kobato had started to actually develop a knowledge of the cruel world around her. She knew just what this guy was talking about, with his cruel gazers sweeping over her rips and tears as if they were always going to be flaws that she would never get rid of. Ah, but that smile was still plastered to her cute little palette. Wanna know why? Because little Ko knew a secret. A secret that held the innerds of the beast. He was not happy, and was pulling his own weight towards her, threatening to make her hold onto it with her aching spine. So her ivories never stopped showing themselves behind drawn lips. Smiling. Of course it has! I found you, didn't I? Though it wasn't too hard... how could Kobato miss your blob?! She giggled and threatened to place a kiss right smack on his nose. However, she knew that he was edgy- and that he was much quicker than she. She was expecting it NOT to work out.

Kobato held her ground. In case she was chastised, she flattened her ripped up audettes a little bit, but remarkably, kept the grin on her labias. His tail had risen up to his alpha position (which to her only meant that he still wanted to play "Royals") and she herself raised her tassel. King SerryBerry and Princess Kobato here! A giggle bubbled from her larynx and escaped into the clearing. It was a joyous sound. But it was broken off by Serris' next words. No- no! Kobato came to complete her wish! But... she bowed down into a play position, tassel still high in the air as if she ruled the world. If you want to be happy- You've got to catch me first!!! Catch me if you can, Serryberryyyy!!!" and with that, the little one took off, tearing through the field of wildflowers as if she was a mink, born to do so to keep itself hidden and safe. Within a minute or so, her desert rose hued pelt would be impossible to find... only her little miss lady perfume would keep him on track should he choose to follow. And Kobato, being Kobato... let her heart soar the whole way- enough to the point that it would not surprise her if her organ sprouted wings and took off.

Closing the distance between herself and Munashii was an easier task to be said than actually completed. She made several pit stops, running down streams, ducking under logs that were too tall for her to leap over, but small enough for any other wolf to relax and step over calmly. Twigs and thorns cut her already shredded pelt and thin lines of blood erupted in extreme color onto her sandy appearance. She found Serris' scent next to a border and hurtled into it, half-wanting to fall, and half-tripping because of her clumsiness anyway. She shook herself off, the dirt sticking to the blood, both old and new, and she sat down, waiting patiently for her knight's big black bodice to come running, trotting, walking, crawling in. Happiness gleamed in her optics and her bodice, though exhausted from her flight, squirmed with anticipation. When she saw him... she would get up, and come catapaulting towards him. An embrace that would piss the hell out of the Alpha, but give the girl the warmth that she was looking for (even if it was physical and not emotional... and if it was unwanted). Should she succeed, her skinny little frame would wrap around one of his pillars and sit there. Should he try to move, her weight would be upon it... little Kobato, was back where she knew she would find a comfortable being. And that is the true reason, as to why she returned... because she knew- that her wish was already being granted as she took each breath.
