Epos found herself staring at the large church doors.

It was funny how she often met with Arthur here. Well, it was usually her seeking him out and just happened to find him here. Either way over their time working together they had made this a regular place to meet. For one, Epos found herself believing in this she never thought existed because of him. To say he inspired her was an understatement. He of course, inspired her differently than Jensen did. Jensen was her rock, her solid foundation that she tell anything too, the person she cared about most next to their children. Arthur on the other hand was someone who was able to reach her in a way her father could only do. She didn’t see Arthur as a father figure but she took his advice when it came to matters of the kingdom, if she had problem personal or professional he was always there with a solid answer, while Jensen was there for support.

Her relationship with the two men were far different from one another but both where important to her. Which brings her to standing in front of the church doors. She hadn’t been the best leader, she hadn’t taken some of the pressure of the king to deal with more pressing matters. She felt horrible. She felt like she failed him, failed Jensen, and failed her children. Failure wasn’t something she was accustomed to. She was usually such a strong independent person and yet, none of that seemed to reveal itself in the past few months.

She took a big breathe. She hesitated before she reached the doorknobs. She continued this for a few moments. Frequently taking steps back as to walk away and then returning to repeat it all over again. Then without thinking she just waltzed right through.

She saw him, sitting there in his usual stop. She could feel a frown forming upon her lips. She didn’t give him time to speak, instead she just began talking. “Arthur, I’m so sorry. I really don’t have anything else to say that could make up for what a horrible job I have done. You expected me to do thing and I couldn’t complete them. Not to mention all that has happened that you’ve had to deal with. I’ve been horrible, just horrible, and what’s worse is I’ve failed, I’ve failed you, Jensen, my children, and all of Shaman.” She paused, but only to catch her breath, “I will understand if you want to remove me from my position and appoint someone else more capable then me, but apparently I wasn’t right for the job.” She knew that wasn’t true, she loved her job, valued her job, and she didn’t want to be stripped of it. But she hadn’t done the position right and with that she knew she had to do the right thing.

Arthur..” but then she stopped, tears began to trickle down her checks she could feel the sobs that would soon begin erupting from her chest, ashamed, she turned to walk back out the way she came.
