Update on O'Melvany courtesy of Paul Stella - It's the home course of the Northridge Pacers, located on Sesnon off of Balboa Blvd in Granada Hills. The Pacers use 2K, 3K, and 4K versions of it. Mostly loops and repeated loops. Not sure how LAUSD will configure it. There is a spot for an uphill but the return is back the same way so running against traffic would be a concern. Mostly dirt with some asphalt paved parts. Basically flat with moderate rolling hills - nothing like Pierce. Parts of dirt part have more uneven footing than Pierce. Gulleys and small stones. Typical Pacer start is on a wide grass field (gopher holes! and very uneven) and then reduces down to the basic dirt/asphalt course (8-12 feet wide). Pretty good shade with many trees. Great for spectators if runners use loops around main park area.
