The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

OOC: Oh, I'm sorry! That happens to me all the time too o.O

The little female pup just looks suspicious, out here wandering the pack lands by herself when she should be scared stiff in her makeshift den or something. Add that to the fact that she seems to be looking for someone and that spells conspiracy central. She does look scared, I'll give her that. I can literally smell the fear rolling off of her in waves. But I don't know if she's scared of being here or scared because she got caught doing whatever it is she's doing. She has a faint smell on her of Arsinoe, another wolf I know from here. I wonder if that's her captor or her friend. Luckily, I'm able to be a surprise to the pup as I walk up out of nowhere, my paws masking their own approach.

She looks up at me and instantly her eyes find somewhere else to look. I wonder if that's out of respect or because she's feeling mighty guilty right about now. She stops walking though. Well, at least she's polite. She grows thoughtful and I tilt my head, bright blue and emerald green eyes piercing, trying to read into her body language. She's looking for someone specific. I catch tiny wrinkles of worry on her delicate young features. She must be worried about whoever she's looking for. As long as this someone isn't a member of Abendrot, then I'm unconcerned. If it is, then someone's going to get their hide ripped off their skeleton. You mess with a member, you're messing with the whole pack.

I see suspicion in the young female's eyes as well. She's onto me. She may not know exactly who I am but she knows that I'm not an innocent prisoner or something so low as that. She knows I'm not here to help and that's the important thing. What a smart puppy. She might have seen me at the pack meeting so that's not in my favor if I'm looking to earn her trust. Good thing, I'm not. I can tell that she knows something and that there's no way in hell she's going to tell me what that something is. Worry crosses her face again and I quirk a brow up.

She seems to forget I'm here for a moment or two before she looks back up at me, blinking as if surprised that I'm still hanging around. She spins some lie that she wasn't sure where she was going. And she tells me her name is Taylor. I notice her accent and pull up my lips into a smirk as I give a snort of disbelief. It's not a matter of where you're headed, but to whom. You're looking for someone. Is that someone a fellow prisoner or a pack member? I'm just curious, you see, because you seem worried and if this pertains to a pack member then that makes it my business. If you know something, you'd better spill. My voice stays calm but my eyes narrow, face tightening to let her know I mean business.
