The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

I can tell the moment the female stiffens, a little fear in her posture. I take a deep inhale, drinking it in like oxygen as my blue eyes stay locked on her features. So delicate....so easy to damage. I watch her turn her head to her companion, taking her full attention off of me for a full second or so. My eyes gleam with this new development. Doesn't she know that it's dangerous to turn away from a killer? Of course, she doesn't know that pretty little secret about yours truly, does she now? How amazing it is to be a secret. I have to admit, I miss it sometimes; having everyone know who I am. I'm sure Munashii Gekko would remember their former alpha, the leader who was to lead them into a new age, a new moonlit night. We already had a number of night walkers under my command and almost as many day walkers to protect us while we slept. It was a picture perfect time for Munashii, but I wasn't content.

Damn my restless soul. Or lack there of. The female speaks to me, telling me they plan on eating the corpse when they find a place to stay. I nod in understanding, watching as the male drags the corpse up to the female, dropping it long enough to say that they plan on eating it. At this, I can't help but shake my head and make a tsk tsk noise with my tongue. I don't think that's any way to get on the alpha's good side. She may be a little cross that someone wanting sanctuary in her lands doesn't even have the manners to offer her a piece. My eyes gleam, knowing that in my lands, if you didn't share what you kill, then you got killed so we wouldn't have to share with you. It was as simple as that. Vikings have a harsher code of conduct, you could say. We eat to live and it doesn't come cheap. We lived in a harsh climate and sometimes we couldn't find a good prey animal to take down for days so we starved until then. But when we took something big down, we feasted like kings. Those were the good days.

I look between the two, pictures of their own corpses dancing in my head. I can already see my fangs ripping into the female's throat, spitting the jugular in the male's face and then sinking my teeth into his eyes. Then I'd take my time while they screamed in shock, taking tiny bites so I didn't spill any blood. I'd slowly drain them while I drink from each little bite mark, taking my time, savoring the taste. I look at the female and lick my lips. I can already taste her going down my throat. But another scent draws me out of my dark corner, ice blue gaze locking on the new wolf approaching our group. He has plain brown eyes and a smug look on his face, yet his coat smells fresh to the pack lands and his tail is set no higher than an Omega. I quirk a brow up, clearly not impressed. But I guess it'll pass the time until someone official shows up to welcome me into the pack.

I watch the white male come slowly out of his cover, though I could smell him a mile away. His heart beat is steady and true, the blood pumping through it healthy and full of richness. I gulp, reminding myself to behave. Maybe I'll have to dismiss myself for another little snack if these tempting moments continue. Can't marr my appearance at the pack I wish to join by killing one of their members, even if he is just an Omega, new to the pack himself. I watch him puff out his chest, his lips tight and his muscles ready. He holds himself with confidence but to me, that kind of posture is earned. It doesn't just make you look important, it makes you look like a fool.

I prick my own ivory ears as he introduces himself, calling himself WinterLeaf. Well that's an odd name. I nod my head in affirmation to his question. Is there an ranked wolf around or do they send you out as a test dummy first? I'd just like to know if my temperament and discipline are being considered. My eyes gleam, the eyes of a predator. The male smiles but I don't return it. You could say I'm getting impatient with the whole waiting game. I like to get in, get my orders, and go on my way. I've got fish to fry, other night walkers to find. Sooner rather than later.
