or else we'll play play play all the same old games
and we wait wait wait for the end to change
and we take take take it for granted that we'll be the same

Name; Epona.

Gender; Female.

Appearance; Epona is a very Southern-looking lady. She has tanned skin that looks like it's been from working in the sun. She's about 5'7" tall with long legs. She has these beautiful hazel eyes that glimmer in the sunlight and seem to have swirls of honey dropped into them, as if someone had accidentally squirted a couple drops of honey into her clear hazel eyes. She has chocolate brown hair that falls in wavy (but not too wavy) lengths down just past her shoulders. Epona has surprisingly small ears for her age - a trait inherited from her mother and grandmother. She is rather slender and slim, with not exactly a stick-thin body but not really a pudgy one either. You could definitely say she is fit, with muscles in her legs, stomach, and arms being the most prominent. She has broad shoulders, a more small oval-shaped face, and long arms with calloused hands that taper off into slender, long fingers. Though Epona is rather pretty, she is not a draw-your-attention-over-here type of fairy.

Defects; None.

Age; 19 years.

Personality; Epona seems to have a rough exterior, with a more regal outlook on things, but on the inside she is very kind and sweet. While it is hard to break through her tough shell, once you're inside she trusts you her life. Often it's rather difficult for her to put her trust in someone but once she does she expects them to never break that bond. Epona's outside is more on the warrior side, always thinking of others and making sure that all of her efforts are put toward something to make a difference. She can be rather hostile, and cold toward people she's just met, but she'll warm up to you if you say the right things to her. When Epona has finally dubbed someone a friend, she is a very good companion and will ditch everything if that friend is in trouble. Her kindness and sweet side is shown toward that person in nearly every meeting. Children are something the girl has never really experienced - she's only 19 - but if Epona ever did want to have children, it would take a lot of convincing and love for that person to make her do that.

History; Before coming to Shaman, Epona was a girl living on Earth in the state of Texas. Her father died when she was 12 in a horse incident on their ranch. Her mother stayed with her and helped take care of the horses, eventually remarrying and Epona was given a stepbrother. Epona then only found happiness with the horses and stayed with them so much her mother said she was like one of them and they treated her like so - minus the play fighting and such. At 18, Epona's mother passed away from cancer and left the now adult orphaned with a stepfather. Ambitious and drunk, her stepfather tried to take away Epona's purity a year after her mother died which drove the girl to hide in her closet and wish she were somewhere else. And that's how she landed in Shaman.

Sample Post; Where was she? Epona's hazel and honey eyes scanned the area she had somehow been taken to. One minute she was curled up in her closet at her ranch home, wishing away her stepfather, stepbrother, and pretty much the world except for her beautiful horses, when she felt the atmosphere shift around her. Then she felt like she was flying, soaring over oceans and continents and worlds even. She figured it was just part of the stress she was put under, running away from her father and his naughty thoughts. Her eyes had been squeezed shut the whole time she went through her little excursion.

But with a thump the horse girl landed in the sand, her head giving a protesting throb at the thud that jarred her body. Now, standing up and looking around, Epona realized the feelings weren't from stress. They had been real. The scenery around her was stunningly beautiful. The ivory grains beneath her shifted to accommodate her weight, the crashing that sounded like a lullaby in her ears of the waves crashing down on the shore. The water was a Caribbean-blue, clear down to the bottom yet topped with an indescribable baby blue. The skies held not a cloud in them, seeming to have been water-colored across the heavens. Palm trees waved their deep green branches in the comfortable breeze floating off the ocean while a couple seagulls cawed their delight at the beautiful day around them.

Epona's jaw dropped down in wonder at the sheer beauty of it all. She dusted off the sand on her already-dusty jeans that smelled oh-so-familiar of horse and hay and outdoors. Her chocolate brown hair floated lightly around her face and shoulders, a couple strands whispering across her tanned cheeks. As Epona made a full 360 degree circle, her eyes caught sight of a stunning buckskin stallion coming toward her at an easy walk. His jet black mane and tail swirled across his sun-kissed haunches and withers, a white blaze dancing down his forehead to end at his muzzle. Three white stockings adorned his legs while one white sock finished off the four legs. He was a stunning creature, his eyes holding both a peaceful calm and the free look of a wild horse.

While Epona should be terrified of the intimidating wild stallion advancing toward her, an eerie calm washed over her and the girl ended up extending her calloused hand toward him as he met her. His soft muzzle was warm underneath her fingers as she twisted one index finger around a strand of his ebony forelock. Epona. The voice was deep, a warm, friendly voice that washed away all Epona's worries. Yet how did the stallion know her name? I am your familiar. They call me Sol. Sol? Familiar? And how could he speak to her?

The girl's brows knitted together in confusion and sensing her thoughts and mood, the buckskin spoke again, his voice resounding in her mind like thunder. I am part of your soul. My name means 'sun' in Spanish, child. This is Shaman. His elegant head rose up to gesture around at the beautiful landscape. Growing in her confidence, Epona replied, trying to make her own voice sound in his mind. "Shaman?" she asked quietly, her voice coming out unsure and soft. Yes. The land of the fairies. Ask someone else about it. They will explain it better than myself.

Anything else; I will be using my first coin for a familiar. He will be a buckskin Quarter Horse stallion named Sol. image
