The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

reverie
oh it just goes to show
how fragile this heart can be
you'll put me back, you'll put me back
all these pieces, these pieces of me

He thinks, maybe, that life is not quite as predictable as he'd expected. What is he now? Nothing but a dethroned king and a heartless bastard with no home and nothing. What is he now? Nothing. And yet, despite this newly hopeless existence Reverie is stupid enough, enough of an imbecile (though some might care to call him 'strong' or even 'determined'; he would kindly like to drive these few into the ground and let them rot there until their brains finally develop) to still face it head-on with that same cocky, overconfident facade he's always kept. He refuses to let his chin drop for anyone---not for an alpha, and not for himself. He will not give in to this need that curls deep in the hollows of his somehow still-beating heart; the desire to leave himself to the mutts and let himself go because he knows there is no more to live for. Again---hopeless. Dryly, the onyx male half-smiles; but all it is is a curl of his mouth. There is no emotion in his eyes, and he's not really sure if he's even capable of feeling anymore. Rev has never considered himself particularly feral, not like the vicious brothers of his who'd succumb to the call of their instincts when it came to things like mating and dominance and ranking. But now, being primal, being physically unable to think of that past what is important to an animal, is quite appealing. At the same time, a shudder runs down the length of the boy's spine at the thought.

Like some sort of shadow, the promise of a ghost, Rev slips between the trees without breaking from the borderline of the forest. The magnificent sunset is hidden from him---august colors of magenta, pale yellow, and a hint of blue where the sun still lives. The sky is fierce, and beautiful, but Rev doesn't recognize beauty much. At least, not at the moment. He's got no destination; truth be told, he has no idea where exactly he's going and where exactly he is, but he has far too much pride to ask anyone around him for help or directions. So he lets himself be lost and doesn't complain, only walks with that same smile that's more like a smirk, ignores those he passes pointedly like they are below him, and heads to where the night is new as the sun drops.

What he stumbles upon is a craggy opening on the face of a large rock that yawns into a black abyss of absolutely nothing---even Rev with the keen sight that all wolves have cannot distinguish one shape from another as his eyes attempt to adjust to the sudden dark he has been plunged into. Something about this cave makes him feel uneasy, but even more so there is a sense of comfort as he pads quietly through. It feels as if the darkness creeps into his veins and into his blood and as if it's mingling with his fur as he escapes the barest hints of light from the fallen night, and all he's left with is the smell of blood and rainwater runoff and maybe sex and a lot of something---someone---sinister. The coward in him says to run, but Rev is not a coward.

Finally he can see forms in the darkness, his pale slate eyes starkly light against his shadow pelt, and he sees the crags of rocks he's been stepping on, and intricately eroded walls with water running along their surfaces. It looks exactly like the morbid place it seems to be, but Rev doesn't mind. His heart trips oddly in a way it hasn't before when he catches sight of a long, lean form with rusty fur that looks almost red; a boy, it seems, and slowly, with an almost cautious air about him Rev approaches. Hopefully he can sate the ache of loneliness that he despises with a casual encounter with a brother. 'You wouldn't mind sharing your space, would you brother?' He asks, his husky voice seeming to bounce off the walls and ricochet in his own twisting ears. Rev's eyes glint, and the carved smile on his cut-glass face seems to widen slowly.
