Don't be stealing my heart

Mare - Lusitano - Palomino - 15.3hh - 6

"She's sooooo cute!"

Ali rolled her eyes at her son's cooing tone. Who would have thought that the massive brute of a son she had would be a total softie. Could be that the tiny little filly that lay sleeping on the ground was his sister, well, half sister. Watching him out of the corner of her eyes, she slowly raised herself up on long golden legs, stretching before giving Jabber a sharp nip to his neck when he bent close to give the girl a sniff. The dark stallion stumbled back a few paces, ears down like a scolded child.

"She is still young and is not ready to play your games," she simply stated, giving a flick of her tail as she narrowed her brown gaze on her son. She still remembered the cruel joke he played on her when he was slightly younger. She did not want her darling daughter to become like her oldest brother. Stretching her neck out after a minute, and making sure jabber kept his distance, she allowed her ears to pick up the soft sounds of the coming spring. The snow was finally melting away, and pretty soon, spring showers would be raining down on them, she couldn't wait. "Let's leave her here for a bit Jabber dear, she must rest, we won't go far."

Nudging his black side, she ventured away from the tall trees that loomed above them. Jabber stayed for a second, glancing from his tiny sister to his moms golden frame walking away. What to do? Looking to a small leafy branch above Arcadia, he reached over with his teeth and gently drew the branch over her. There, he breathed, that would keep anything off her or keep something from seeing her until they returned. What good big bro he was!

Ali was getting impatient, and she stopped, but before she could open her maw, someone's loud call rang in her ears. Probably the new boy, she mutters in her head, of course sad her darling Nikola had went away. "Jabber!" she called out once, before urging herself into a fast trot, Jabber's heavy hoof beats growing louder as she went on her way. "Slow it down mum," he complained, his roman sloped nose bumping into her rear. She gave a small warning with a kick of her legs, before her eyes caught what she heard. This stallion was blacker than her son, but the color that caught her eyes way the greyish mane and tail he sported. Strange mixture she thinks.

Releasing a nicker to the brute, she stopped a mere foot away, angling her body around till she faced him and the tree where her newborn lied. She was about to speak, when Jabber caught up to her, recovering quickly from her kick earlier. While she seemed lithe and athletic, he was rather hefty, and less graceful. The mother and son pair stood tall side by side.

"Welcome to the ridge," she gives a small nod, as Jabber silently grunts in response, his eyes assessing the smaller brute. Ali gave a sigh, stupid stallions and their big ego's.

Just to let ya know since im putting Ali and jabber into the same thing, Jabber is like a draft horse, with the feathers on the hooves and he has that roman sloped nose. :3 and im not sure where Fuchs is, so i sorta had Arcadia asleep atm x.x I missed her due date, so like, here she is, born and stuff. lol.
