The 65 you have is a 327 (represented by the 4), it is also #1158 off of the assembly line. They made 10,327 Marlins that year. If it had a 3 at the beginning, it would have the 287 motor, and if it had a 2, it would have had the 232 inline 6. I think that's right? It wasn't until 66 that a letter appeared before the numbers. 65 was the only year without numbers. Replies:
