At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

Mallory curled into a ball, winding her tail around her until it touched her nose. As she faded into a sleep, she sent out one last little thought. Good night, Ripple. Mallory really did like him.
She woke up an a prarie. There were little patches of fire everywhere, blood stained on the ground. Wolves were lying on the ground; slaughtered. As Mallory stumbled around looking for a living soul, she tripped over a body and landed face first in the dirt. When she turned around, she saw Ripple's dead body. Fresh blood streamed down his fur, a giant gash gaping throughout his whole body. As tears started to leak through her eyes, a giant shadow overcame her. Terrified, Mallory turned arouns. A giant beast with two bright, red eyes roared. Then Mallory was washed down a drain of blood, Ripple's blood...
Mallory woke up in a dead sweat. She reminded herself it wasn't real, the sun was shining on her bloodless fur. Mallory stretched, then padded over to the middle of the boy's den.
