The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

I can see the inner turmoil in Ruhani's eyes as she looks between the three of us. I can see the thinly veiled emotions she's trying to hide but I don't see how she can feel anything for this monster. She makes up her mind slowly but I show no impatience in my gaze even though my veins are still very much alive with the adrenaline from our brief fight. I'm ready to end this. I'm ready to end him.

At her words to Kershov, my lips curl back into a malicious grin, blue and green eyes alight with fire all their own. Good job, Ruhani. She has earned some points of respect for this decision. She may hurt later for killing a male who she thinks she cares about but he never really cared about her or he wouldn't have taken her by force. No form of love besides the sick kind can come from that.

I hear that Ruhani had her pups already. I wonder if she's raising them as her own. Maybe some day she can see past what they were the product of. After all, just because his blood runs through their veins doesn't mean that they'll be useless to the pack later on. They could grow up to be prize assets to Abendrot for all we know. Perhaps Ruhani will give them that chance...or maybe she already ended their lives quick. It was her decision.

Ruhani steps back, looking at Kershov for instruction. When she looks at me, I prick my ears, listening to her words. Part of the trauma, I guess. I just know it can't be love. Love doesn't do what he did to you. You may regret this now but I promise you won't later. My eyes even soften a little when I say this, wanting her to know that I'm not as heartless as I come off sometimes. After all, I am a female and I do have emotions, even if I only show a choice few most of the time.

When she turns back to waiting for the cue, I crouch, widening my stance, lips curling back to reveal blood stained fangs as I wait for the command as well. I wonder if I'll get to see Kershov get his teeth wet this time. That should be a sight to see.
