aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

Eyes wide open. His den, colder and lonelier than usual. Cody never had anybody in his den with him; but that wasn't the reason why the loneliness hit him. Aurora had now begun to slow itself back down. The numbers of the pack had surely gone down, it was silent. Too silent. Azure eyes skim over the entrance of his den, below the roots of an old tree. Nothing, besides the dancing lights touching the snow. Such a beautiful land, and not many to share it with. He hadn't seen Zig in a while, but her smell still lingered, and if it didn't, it at least seemed so too Cody... perhaps for comfort. But it was Vela who had not had a meeting yet with. Vela, the princess who had accompanied him when he had first arrived at Aurora. Something about her, he was attracted to. He did, indeed, know back when he first arrived that he liked being around her. Now, laying in his den, does he realize that it may mean more to him and his heart to be around Vela. He lifts his body up, shaking his snow-white pelt then stretching his legs, letting a long, tired yawn escape from him. It must be the middle of the night, but Cody feels so... lonely.

Cody had always been quieter, but something was changing in him, something that he knew meant gaining total maturity. He wasn't lonely for a female, only for someone to talk to. He slithers out of his den, and lets his paws rest on the cold snow before making his way to the heart of the pack. He is quite a sight. His body now a bit taller, the fluff of his body has grown fuller, softer. As he walks, the sky-lights dance on his pelt, touching every inch of him, except for his one left leg, covered in black. A sigh relaxes his position, and the omega continues, until his destination is reached. Here, he lays, with his head looking out. Without knowing, he lets out a little whine, which he quickly silences; it is the dead of the night after all, wouldn't want to wake anybody. But perhaps someone is awake.

"Hello?" He whispers, seeing the cloud of his warm breath rise from his mouth. He's tempted to ask once more, but he decides that if anyone hears it, they will come. If not, well, it would be a lonely night. The cold breeze makes his nose sting a little, but he shakes his nose, and turns his bright eyes up to the sky. He would wait; for someone. His mind, although asking questions, remained silent to himself. Where was his alpha? The pups? Everyone? He was tired of just being another lonely omega.
