Many wolves looking for relaxation come to Blossom Field. A gentle breeze vibrating the blossoming flowers is quite a sight to see and it is quite a favourite for wolves to come with their mates.

A recent fire has ruined the scenery, half the field covered with soot and marked with scars of the flames. The other half is untouched, however.

Don't judge a thing until you know what's inside it,
Don't push me - I'll fight it

The girl was nonplussed by this strange land. This place they called Blossom Forest, the one she'd heard so very many tales about. She'd been here what, four days? Something like that, and the first thing she'd noticed was the sheer amount of wolves. Back home, Lif had been lucky to come across any wolves that weren't her pack mates. Maybe the odd dispersal, and they had one run in with another pack over territory, but here there were wolves everywhere she turned. They crowded the river bank especially, playing lovestruck teenagers as though they were human. She'd taken one walk along the bank and been asked to be mates with several, stalked by two and one even tried to play horsies and drag her off. She'd decided, after tearing a couple of his tendons, to stay away from that creepy river from then on.

With a deep sigh, the coppery female paused in her stride, surveying the area she'd arrived in. Passing through the plateau, she'd picked up an unlucky hare, carrying the still warm bundle in her jaws. This area seemed as good a place as any to eat the bundle. It was an unusual area, a field of great beauty, but ravaged by fire. One half was ash, dark, soot-stained destruction wrought by the only thing wolves feared more than man. Pondering on what could cause fire to burn so.. symmetrically, Lifthrasir crossed the untouched side, careful to avoid the little groups of wolves scattered around. She skirted around a little family outing, pausing mere moments to snarl at an overly adventurous pup. The parents swiftly regrouped and Lif moved on, searching for somewhere private.

Finally settling down on the edge of the field, the northern lass gave a deep yawn, before tucking into her prey. She mused about this strange place while eating, wondering about it's differences. Lif had been brought up in a more traditional setting, where packs were small and life was hard. She'd lost many to the power and prowess of nature, her sister drowned by floods, two of her brothers died of pneumonia. Her parents died young, one killed by an avalanche, one by an elk. Her remaining brother and she were chased out of the terra by a rival pack and had eventually parted ways. She'd seen loss everywhere she turned, but she had learnt and grown from it, she felt it had made her stronger.

Finishing half the hare, Lif cleaned her lips, before moving on to groom her coppery coat. She was proud of her coat, and her eyes, they served as reminders of her parents. Her mother had the same pale corn eyes and her father had the same warm brown fur. Running her teeth over her legs, she idly wondered what to do with the rest of her day. She would bury the hare somewhere, though she'd no doubt it would be found by some other lazy scavenger. So many wolves meant little chance to keep things a secret, it was kind of frustrating. She knew an easy way out would be a pack, but she wasn't sure she was quite ready yet. A pack was a big step, especially since she'd been a lone ranger for so long now. It was always safer and easier of course, but it came with it's cons. Such as having to bow down to another, taking commands and rules from someone other than mother nature herself. And, for an independent wolf like Lifthrasir, that would take some getting used to.
Never gonna give in - never gonna give it up, no,
You can't take me, I'm free
