He thought he noticed something about Tristan that made him completely stop talking about everything that had happened. Even though hurt was something Grayson was becoming accustomed to he never once thought to stop and think about how reliving the memory would affect Tristan. So when Tristan continued to bring up Thoth, Grayson was to much relieve. He didn’t want to hurt his friend, nor did he want to keep hurting.

It had seemed that during the last few weeks they had all lost contact. Which was shocking since he knew Tristan and Thoth were far closer then Grayson and Thoth were. Last time he spoke to him there was some sort of friendliness, with the offer to heal the injured pony Thoth had brought in seemed to spark something between the two of them. Although, there was never a real friendship there. Not like the one he shared with Tristan. But he hoped for one, one day. He admired Thoth in many ways, he always seemed so sure of himself, something which Grayson lacked. So it came to no surprise when a weak “oh my….” slipped from his lips before even thinking back upon it.

When Tristan jumped to his feet Grayson was caught startled, which also sent Era to bounce off of him barking sharply in the process. Grayson touch her back and she immediately calmed down. As Tristan spoke he couldn’t hide the smile that began to spread along his lips. Another adventure, something he could not turn down. Grayson scampered and walked towards his friend and put a hand on his shoulder, “it will be dangerous friend, I’m sure of this, things are stirring out there, things dark and dripping with evil, but I’m with you till the end, we will find him!” and then he grasped Tristan’s hand and shake it, sealing his oath.

Grayson’s eyes watched Tristan has he made a path towards the window. He followed him as he gestured towards the ivy that clung to the walls and looked down out of the window. “sounds like a good one.” Grayson looked behind him to see Cel and Era awaiting their orders, which Tristan gave. “careful friends, don’t be seen, last thing we need is for the king to know he spotted the two of you venturing out into the darkness, it would only give us away.” With a brisk nod from Era she turned and followed Cel.

Grayson watched as Tristan climbed out of the window first, he waited until he heard his feet hit the earth below. “And so, it starts.” he said softly into the cool wind of the night, grasping the vines he pulled himself out of the window and followed the path Tristan had laid for him.
