Jim was almost startled by her sudden appearance, so he nearly leapt back instinctually. But upon seeing her, he plodded forward slowly, then stopped as he once again felt the sharp pain from his ankle, which he must have forgotten sometime in his misery. But as he continued to limp forward, it was all he could do to keep a straight face. He wished he could sprint/limp to her with a foolish grin spread wide on his face. But instead, all his joy to see her was somehow arranged into a lopsided sarcastic smile, while he kept his eyes hard, and as he had learned from Hattie, almost malicious.

He was a few steps away when he stoppped and began to speak. And as always, let his accent ring truer that it was.

And a good day to you, Ms. Foxx.

His voice still held its usual sarcastic, competitive edge, which surprised him. He didnt know his acting had become so good. Well, Hattie had taught him a few tricks...

Oh yes, indeed.

Though her voice was low and scratchy with pain, a certain tiredness was deeply embedded into it. She saw the two pups turn to face her, then rolled her eyes and continued.

Well, my welcome is worn itself out hasn't it? I guess I'll leave you two to sort your selves out, then.

She then turned and began to walk away, strategically moving so Scarletta would see her scars well.
