At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

It was a relief to hear that these wolves meant no harm to Tally but still the female was unsure. It would take a while for her to get used to the fact that the young lass had made friends outside the pack but she wouldn’t stop her daughter from seeing them. “Well as long as they aren’t going to hurt you I don’t see any harm in you spending time with them.” She nuzzled her daughter tenderly.

In the time the female had spent alone she had had a lot of time to think about her life. She remembered the day she had met RedRust like it was only yesterday. It was love at first sight for the couple like something from a fairytale but in away Cai wondered if that was the reason for the down fall of the relationship. Everything moved too fast. The lass was already part of a pack and her mate joined immediately after they had met. In no time they were thinking about families and then before they knew it, they had brought a litter of six healthy pups into the world. The thought brought a smile to the femme’s face but it wouldn’t last. RedRust was now nowhere to be seen and he had taken three of her beloved puppies with him, although they would now be teens- just like Tally. She loved all of her family dearly but it was time to put herself first and if that meant removing RedRust from the picture she would have to. It was a horrible thought to think that she would have to put her first love in the past but her happiness was all that counted and her children deserved a father.

“Tally would you mind if I called for your sister? I think Dib is still around. I’ve got something important I need to talk to you about and it would be better if all of the children I have left where involved.” Although it sounded like a question, she was going to call for Dib no matter what. This subject was just too important. This was it. She was going to bring it up with Tally and hopefully Dib. Although she would make it clear that she wouldn’t do anything the pups where uncomfortable with. The lass nuzzled her daughter once more before lifting her bodice of the ground and standing proud and tall. She lifted her cranium to the sky and let out an almighty howl that she was sure Dib would hear if she was still around that was. The howl finished, the end of it trickled out of her throat in a muffled growl that meant nothing. She waited for a moment, her ears twitching... listening out for any form of Dibs returning howl but nothing. It was silent. Cai took a seat next to Tally once again and turned her gaze towards the calming lake that trickled down stream without a care in the world. How the femme wished she could be part of the river, maybe life would just flow by without a hitch.
