Hello fellow Shamanites!

It has been several years and I do believe it is time once again to hold an election for the Senate seats, but this time we will doing it quite differently. Since we�ve had issues in the past with electing members that by chance, actually do not want to be in the senate I�ve decided this year will be as follows:

For two weeks we will hold an open forum/campaigning for anyone in the public that wishes to join the senate. This means, if you are interested in a position, instead of being elected right in you will get a leg up on competition to voice why you think you are suitable for whichever particular job within the senate that you want.

Minimum requirements are as follows:
Name: Name of Character
Subject: The position you would like (e.g. Consul)
Body: Why you are suited for this seat.

You may make a flier, write a speech, state your qualifications, what you would like to change, what you plan on doing, whatever you feel gets the message across to the public that you are indeed suited for this seat, and why you should be elected when election rolls around. The more involved you get, the more likely you are to get noticed.

If you are torn between two seats, no worries! You may campaign for a man seat, and an alt seat. This also means you must label which is the main seat you are campaigning for and which is the alt. In the event you do not do this, there will be no consequences on my end, but the public may not know which one you truly desire and when election does come, you may not be voted into what you want.

For characters that are not campaigning they may also ask questions if they like, but remember, this is not a debate, this is a friendly campaign, please do not start debates threats of those campaigning, simply ask questions.

REMEMBER Just because you campaign does not mean you granted a seat within the senate, outside characters which did not participate may also be voted in during the election, the point of the campaign is to give characters who want a seat a chance to show why they deserve it and to get noticed.

When campaigns are over, and election will be held for one real week and rules for voting will be inside that thread.

Once again, here is the list formatted by B.J. our beloved and ever knowledgeable cat.
The Consul is the head of the Senate and has the most political power. He can make proposals to the government.
The Praetor is the head of the judiciary and law courts. If someone has been caught breaking the law, it is the Praetor's task to organize a court of law. (In charge of the courtrooms)
The Aedile is the head priest: s/he has the power to marry two people together. This is a power shared by the King, the God and the Princeps.
The Tribune is the ambassador of the people. It is his job to ensure that the government is taking care of the people's best interests, by holding meetings with territory leaders and speaking to the people.
The Quaestor the head of law enforcement: s/he is in charge of catching law-breakers and bringing them to the Praetor. (in charge of the dungeons)
