Bright Moon - a land sullied by mystery and the ravaging scars of a terrible fire. Abandoned as a pack land for years, the terra has been used as a gathering place for the brazen and bloodthirsty drawn there by the lingering pall of death. Yet from the ashes there comes an unordained phoenix, the rainbow hues of hope glinting in her mismatched globes. Through the obsidian drapes obscuring the scenery, she alone was able to catch the perfumed aroma of new life on the breeze and hear the sluggish streams flowing ever swifter into the morning.

Thus, with a purpose, she set out to map the incognita, discovering daily the extent of the reawakening and unearthing within herself a desire to return the landscape to its former glory. Now she stands tall as privileged Alpha of the lands, lording over the rock-strewn prairie and bountiful forests with a firm but gentle paw.

Having finally realized her deepest longing to be a queen, Satowra is focused solely on the revival and maintenance of the Bright Moon Pack. Her question to each prospective warrior that comes to the border is simple:

"Do you have what it takes?"

“Sunny! Stay with Auntie Sky!” Trilled Sunshine’s worried voice as the russet lass hurried after the tall, lithe frame of Skyscraper. Skyscraper glanced over her thin shoulder, green-hazel EYES TWINKLING. “He’s fine!” She mumled around Dotty’s pale scruff. Dotty, Skyscraper’s self-appointed translator, relayed the message in her soft, sighing soprano. “That’s what she thinks.” Grumbled Sunshine. A bump, not hard enough to actually hurt, startled the bubbly lass and sent her stumbling into a bush. A frustrated bark escaped the black mass on her shoulders as she steadied herself. She scowled playfully at Whisper, though the pale grey lady just smiled at her. The pale grey lass had a sleeping white bundle perched on her shoulders. “He’s perfectly fine.” The older mother murmured, gently brushing past the ginger lady. “Dazzle, Dotty, and Sky are with him.” She paused, watching the dawn sun weakly filtered through the canopy above them. “We’re almost at the border. He’s just excited about coming home.” The wise mother explained, her pale eyes fond as she stared in the direction of the pups, and older teen, they were currently discussing. “Sure, sure.” Mumbled Sunshine, glancing up to make sure the grey-black pup, who clung to her ginger shoulder, was undisturbed. He was sitting up, pale eyes unseeing as he rose and fell, shifting lightly with Sunshine’s steps. “I can’t hear Skyscraper anymore!” The blind pup’s voice was laced with panic. Whisper and Sunshine exchanged a glance as Whisper moved forward, collecting her son in her gentle maw. Sunshine watched, almost fascinated as the little black pup curled up in a little ball, to make it easier for his mum to carry him. Sunshine collected the little white pup off of her mother’s back, and though she gave a whine of protest, she settled to sleep once again, lulled by the lulling motions of Sunshine’s steady gate.

They caught up with the others near the border, at a tiny stream. Skyscraper was at the edge of the wading stream, keeping a watchful eye on the three pups splashing there. The sound of the other pups roused Sushi who wiggled out of Sunshine’s willing maw. Hearing Sushi, Jaye roughly threw himself out of Whisper’s restraining gasp. He stumbled slightly and flinched away briefly at Sunny’s wet pelt brushing against his own deep grey one. He nosed Sunny’s face, inhaling the almost gone scent of the ginger male, who waited patiently. He nudged Sunny’s hip with his own and let the older male lead him towards the others. Noticing the game between Skyscraper and the pups, Whisper nudged Sunshine and nodded at the tall teenager. “Look.” She murmured and together the two watched as Skyscraper gently grabbed Sushi around the middle and lightly flung her into the pool. The white pup’s laughter rang out to the still sleeping forest, full of delight, up until she hit the water. She popped up almost immediately, chocolate eyes full of delight, and sloppily paddled towards Dazzle, who met her half way, and, being the biggest of the five pups, hauled the tiny pup out. At three months old, Dazzle and Sunny were massive compared to Whisper’s month old pups. Even little Dotty was bigger! “What happened?” Wondered Jaye, glancing at the golden coated male next to him. It was Dotty who spoke up though. “Auntie Sky tossed Sushi into the water, but really gentle!” Jaye nodded slowly, allowing Dotty and Sunny to push him to Skyscraper. “Jaye next, Jaye next!” Dotty chirped, her wide honey eyes begging. “Alright.” Sky replied, grasping Jaye around the middle. He wiggled in discomfort, but fell still as his aunt swung him back and forth once before letting him go.

He hits the water and bobs up, laughing. “That’s great!” He giggles, blind eyes sparkling. Sunshine and Whisper allow their play to continue, but soon they are nudging their dripping wet pups towards the border. “Come along, it’s not far now. Then we’ll find you somewhere to play.” Whisper promises, nudging Sushi forward. The pups groan, but allow their mothers, and aunt, to keep them moving. As the fresh smell of the dawn comes with a chilly breeze, which carries the scent of Bright Moon, and it made the three older females smile. “Hurry now!” Sunshine grinned, plucking Sushi up and darting towards the border. She could hear Jaye’s indignant yelp as his mother plucked him up and rushed after her. She glanced back to see Dazzle and Sunny at her heels and Dotty swinging from Skyscraper’s gentle maw. Sunshine almost skidded over the border, but dug in her blunt claws, and stopped jerkily. She dropped Sushi and threw her head back, howling. She heard Whisper and Skyscraper’s voice join hers and after a moment, all five pups’. She lowered her head, eyes sparkling with utter delight as she grinned. “Welcome home.” She whispered to the pups, almost inaudible.
