Nalleya curled in a ball, her tail firmly against her white belly. Her black ears were pressed firmly against her head as she let out snarls of pain. She couldn't manage any words at the moment, all she could do was clench her teeth and squeeze her eyes shut. The small cougar tried to find a stick with her paw for a few seconds, finally snatching a thick branch and placing it between her jaws. "They're coming!" She snarled through a mouthful of wood. The pain in her abdomen grew as she felt a bundle slide onto the moss of the nest. Nalleya's teeth made the branch splinter as the next kit came paws first, which could end up killing it. The mother gave one more determined push and the smaller fur-ball slid down beside its littermate.
