He kept his back to her, but turned his head slightly to acknowledge that she was listening.

I went out one evening for some fresh air, I was attacked. It was distinctly Corae, and she eventually dragged my body to Rugs, who kidnapped me as a lure for Remy.

He never came, and Rugs tried to leave the area with me in tow.

The assassin part came from escaping and trying to find a way out of my situation. There was very little I could do there, and I needed connections. But I got too caught up in that... And didn't get to come back til much later, as you can tell.

He kept the story simple, leaving out most of the details. He just wanted him not to be as hurt as she did. Not that this would really help at all.
