At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

After a few minutes of isolated terror, I notice Hachiko looking over toward the other side of the lake. Following his gaze, ready for any distraction, I watch the puppies playing in the shallow water. My heart leaps into my throat, fighting the urge to go and fetch them away from the fearful depths but one giggles and they splash each other and before I know it, I find a small smile tugging at my lips, my fear slowly ebbing away. What do you know? It helped!

I look back at Hachiko only to find him smiling at me. My chest tightens but I offer a small smile back. He walks toward me, asking me to trust him and I find myself nodding. Alright. I breathe out as I walk over to him, not stopping until my fur brushes against his, causing another electric jolt to shudder my body. He reaches out, his nose delicately touching my shoulder and without thinking about it, I lean into the touch, craving it.

He starts walking over to the shallow section of the lake and I pause before following, no stopping until I'm once more pressed up against Hachiko's side. He turns to me, his voice an intimate whisper and my eyes flutter as I feel my insides melting. I listen to his words, falling into them like a lover's embrace. Then I turn my head to him, closing my eyes as he said before leaning my chin on his shoulder.

He starts moving again and before I know it, my paw dips down into something cool and very much wet. With a jolt, I fight the urge to open my eyes and pull my paw back. Instead I wait for it suck me and force me down into the depths but nothing happens. Instead the cool water caresses my fur. Setting my jaw in determination, I press my nose into his fur, inhaling his cologne for strength. I continue to stay with him, even though my body is fighting every step to turn back. Soon enough the water is up to my knees and I'm shivering more in fear than anything. When I stop to think about it, the water actually feels good on my skin.

I hear his voice again and I fall into it, imagining just as he says. I feel the wind in my fur as I run, laughing as Hachiko chases me. I know that he can catch up if he really wants to but he's stalling, delaying the catch becuase he's having just as much fun chasing me. And then the water hits my neck and I shiver in protest. I lean even further into his fur, my voice a whisper. I trust you.
