{getting burned}

The dog had experienced pain; few creatures made it through this world without getting hurt, and indeed the feelings Seppo was going through were ones of constant and lasting pain. This, though, this burning - Seppo couldn't handle it, and his piteous cries and yelps made that very obvious. He whined and continued to paw at his face, scooting it along the cold ground as he put out the last of the fires and soothed his scalded, burned face. He rolled around as well, exposing his pale soft belly to Ryu's fangs and fire as well should the ginger brute have chosen to attack. But the husky's deranged thought pattern was unfortunately one-track, and the dog's concern was now on getting his singed fur to stop sizzling.It was a task that would apparently take some doing.

Left alone with the male she adored, Noor still could find no voice in her throat; instead she drew nearer to Ryu, choked and hurting. Trying to block out the chorus of screaming yelps from the burning dog some feet away, the pretty young female buried her head in the ruff of the ginger brute, tears streaming down her cheeks as she gently began to clean his wounds. "I...," she finally managed, her trembling voice little more than a whisper, a breath. She found she could not continue and gave a dry little sob, instead burying her face in his fur again, careful not to nose his lacerations.
